No Malicious Intent

This tool is designed for educational and legitimate purposes only. It demonstrates how PNG chunk data works and allows users to understand and manage C2PA metadata in their images. The functionality is presented transparently, with no hidden features or malicious intent.

Responsible Use

Users are solely responsible for how they use this tool. We explicitly disclaim any responsibility for misuse, including but not limited to:

• Removing AI-generated image markers with the intent to deceive others
• Manipulating content provenance data to misrepresent the origin of media
• Using modified images to spread misinformation or disinformation
• Any other use that violates applicable laws or regulations

Important: If an AI-generated image has its identifying metadata removed with the objective of deceiving others, we are not responsible in any way. This tool was created for legitimate purposes and never for misuse. The perpetrators of such actions are solely culpable.

Legitimate Use Cases

There are many legitimate reasons to manage C2PA metadata, including:

• Privacy protection
• Reducing file size
• Educational purposes to understand how content provenance works
• Troubleshooting issues with C2PA implementations
• Research and development of content authentication systems
